TUFA Peer-Educators Training launched
Comfort Foundation Ghana launched its newly developed Hepatitis B Peer-Educators Training Programme during a workshop with players and staff of the Tamale Utrecht Football Academy (TUFA) on 20th February, 2016. Abdulai Alhassan, CEO of TUFA and Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) in his address stressed on the potential role the young players could play in educating their peers about the dangers and prevention of Hepatitis B. The Peer-Educators Training Programme will contain weekly training sessions with the students, after which they will receive a certificate. The Peer-Educators Training is part of a wider campaign to address issues of Hepatitis B in Northern Ghana in collaboration with TUFA and the Northern Regional Football Association.
